Spheres is a social benefit artists’ press.
We believe in the capacity of art to effect positive change in our communities and world.
Spheres makes editions, publications, and other objects in collaboration with contemporary artists who share this belief.
Net proceeds from our ongoing program are shared between the artists, Spheres, and a social cause.
Spheres also coordinates large-scale special projects, like States of Change 2024, from which a larger share of proceeds is contributed to a cause.
Fiscal transparency is of central importance at Spheres, and the use and distribution of funds is fully outlined for every offering.
Spheres is directed by artist Matthew Booth, who previously co-organized Pictures for Elmhurst1 and States of Change 20202.
Spheres’ approach adapts the model of these short-term initiatives into one that is able to effect change on an ongoing basis.
Our structure reflects our belief that a better world is possible.
